The Kiwanis Club presents a special award each year at our school to a boy and girl in each 6th grade class. It is called the "Hope of America" award. Ashley was selected from her class. You can imagine how proud we are! She is a great girl. To make it even more exciting, Courtney won it 2 years ago when she was in 6th grade too! Kevin and I feel very fortunate to have such great kids. We know that they came that way and we are just trying hard not to screw them up too bad!
The whole King family always eagerly awaits our annual Memorial Day Camping trip to Yellowpine. As usual, the weather didn't really cooperate, but that is the beauty of trailer camping- Good weather is not needed! We had a wonderful time, with the same complaint every year....It wasn't long enough!
Casey is at Senior Ball as I write this. Casey and I stayed home from the first day of our beloved camping trip so she could go to Senior Ball. Her date is Eric Smith. Two of his sisters play on soccer teams with Ashley and Courtney.
So, since Casey is graduating this coming week, you might notice that we are a bit heavy on the Casey entries. Well, it is going to get worse before it gets better. Don't say I didn't warn you.....
Thursday was Senior Honor Night. Casey earned 3 academic letters: Music, English, and Student Leadership. Can you tell we are very proud of Casey?!
So after all the years Kevin has been working to put Seminary Graduation together, we finally got something back! Casey graduated from Seminary tonight. She has loved Seminary. It has been a great experience for her. Casey, we are proud of you!
We had a few friends over for ice cream afterwards.
We just got back from Abby's Spring Dance Showcase. This year she has been doing the BYU Creative Dance Program and it has been a lot of fun for her. The name of her dance was Spark, Flame, Fire. The last photo is Abby with her teacher, Lisa Rivera.
