Our baby is turning 20!

Our sweet little girl, our firstborn, is turning 20! Where does the time go?? We are so proud of the smart, organized, ambitious, responsible, kind, fun-loving, spiritual, capable, talented, darling person that she is. We are so lucky to have her in our family. What would we do without her??!! Did I mention that we are so proud of you?! You are everything we hoped you would be.

Happy Birthday Casey Marie! We love you so much!

A new era

On March 23, 2011, something extraordinary occurred. Casey's good friend, Caitlin MacKay, got married. We have been back door neighbors with the MacKay's since the girls were about a year old. She is the first of Casey's circle of friends to be married. They were married in the Mt. Timpanogos temple and it was a beautiful ceremony presided over by her grandfather, who is a sealer at the Salt Lake temple. He was able to perform the ceremony. Casey and another good friend, Maggie, were bridesmaids. Maggie was here from Washington and brought some friends with her who have also become Casey's friends. (Yes, I know. There are no pictures of the bride! But by the time we got to the reception, the dancing had begun.)

Abby's first competitive meet

Abby had her first competitive gymnastics meet in Springville today. Her best event was vault. I am very excited because I have never been able to post videos before and I got it to work, so you can enjoy watching Abby compete. I will warn you that Amy took these videos. (Translation=I am not the best photographer)

Some random tidbits...

The King family got together at Greg and Lynnell's for Brick Oven pizza and to watch the BYU-San Diego State game. We lost but it is not the end of the world, because we already knew we were going to the NCAA tournament. The game on Friday was about as exciting a game as there could be. We hadn't beat New Mexico for a while and we beat San Diego twice during the season, so the New Mexico game was a better one to win!

I was in SLC Thurs and Fri for an education conference. Our principal treated us to lunch at Buca di Beppo. I had never been there and I loved it. The food and atmosphere were fantastic!

I stayed at Laurie's on Thursday so I could spend some time with her and Mom. We got to go to "A Tale of Two Cities" playing at the Hale Theatre in West Valley City. We had such a fun time. The play was really good.

Here is a random picture I took of the crocuses finding their way out of the dirt and alerting us to the fact that spring is coming!Casey and I and Andrea Nelson and her mom, Julie, had a bridal shower for our neighbor, Caitlin MacKay, who is getting married March 23. I can't believe that a friend of Casey's is old enough to get married! When did they grow up??!!

I will also add some happy news. Kevin got a job! In fact, he is on his way to Virginia for some meetings and training this week! He is working for a local company called Ivey Ventures. This company has a contract with IHC and he works with doctors in our area to have them refer their patients to IHC for physical therapy and wound care! Happy day!
