Father's Day 2009

We spent a great deal of Father's Day with Kevin's family. We did some celebrating on our own too. Kevin was still pretty tired from Youth Conference that weekend. He and his brother Greg offered to head up the food. He was busy the whole time and didn't get any sleep. He is such a hard worker and enjoys being with youth.

I am so happy and thankful that my children have such a fantastic father! Happy Father's Day Kevin! And, even though my father isn't here anymore, I am still so thankful for an awesome father of my own. I love family men-- they are the best kind of men there are.

Abby's First Swim Meet

Abby is on the Pikes Swim Team (like her sisters before her) and is having a great time. Her first swim meet was Saturday in Lehi. She swam freestyle, back and breast stroke. I don't know how she did yet, but she did win two of her heats. She is as excited about swimming as she is everything else in life!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Kevin and Abby had a fun daddy and daughter dance for Activity Days. Kevin came to the door to pick her up. I didn't get a picture of the boutonniere and the wrist corsage. They got them when they arrived at the dance. They learned to waltz! They both had a great time!

Rainbow!

These pictures don't really do it justice but there was a beautiful rainbow outside just a while ago. If you look, you can see it is a double rainbow. This is one of the most brilliant ones I have seen!

I have watched this on youtube and I really love it. If you liked the Cranford series you will love this. Why can't they make tv programs like this here in the U.S? The series will be on Thursdays at 8 p.m. and repeats Sundays at 10 p.m. on Channel 7 here in Utah. Check your PBS station to see if and when it is playing in your area. I love it!
