Happy Days of '47!

On Pioneer day we picked up Casey and Bryan from the airport. Since it was Pioneer day, I wanted to stop and see the First Encampment Park (1700 S. 500 E. SLC) on the way home. This is a memorial to those who were in the original scouting trip and came into the valley. This spot marks where they camped the first night they came into Salt Lake valley. Jesse C. Little, our ancestor, got a rock with his name on it! Also, just down the street from this memorial is the Wilford Woodruff farm.
