Abby's first gymnastics meet

Abby has been doing cartwheels, flips, and backbends so much around the house that we thought we would let her have a crack at gymnastics legitimately! She has been loving it and here are pictures from her first gymnastics meet (even though it was just inter-squad.)

13 big ones!

Our little red-headed Ashley turned 13 on Wednesday! It is hard to believe that it was 13 years ago that Kevin and I were driving down to the hospital in the wee hours of the morning listening to "Time in a Bottle" on the radio.
My mom and dad were serving a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois and I was sad that they couldn't be there, but I guess my mom had a preview because she called me a few days before Ashley was born and told me she had a dream that the baby was a girl and she had red hair. Lo and behold, it was just as she dreamed. I think it was Heavenly Father's way of making up for her not being able to be there.
Ashley is a very special girl. She has always had a determined spirit and is self-motivated. She has a sweet, shy smile but also plenty of spunk! Happy Birthday Ashley! We love you!

Here are some pictures of the birthday party Ashley had with a couple friends. They played wallyball (sp?) at the Provo Rec. Center and then came back to our place for dinner. And to cap it off, we have a little snow outside to give it that Winter Wonderland feel!

B-ball, B-ball, and more B-ball!

Basketball is a big part of our lives right now. Here is a picture of Abby just before she left to go to the BYU-UNLV game with Kevin. This isn't the first time she has made a sign to take to the game!

Abby had her first jr. jazz basketball game Saturday. She was really excited. She actually turned out to be pretty good. Watching her sisters play has rubbed off on her. She knew just what to do. Here she is militantly guarding her opponent!

She made this shot and ended up scoring 8 points!
Abby has some great ball dribbling skills.

Is it just me or are most of these girls a lot bigger than Abby?

Here are a couple shots of one of the games Ashley played in last week. This game went into double overtime and they ended up losing, but it was an exciting game!

Courtney (as I have mentioned before) has been playing on the freshman, sophomore, and JV teams at Timpview. It is exhausting for her but she is getting good playing time with all teams and she is learning a lot from getting to play so much. Here are some shots I took of her a few weeks ago when they were playing at Provo. They ended up winning this game.

Jed and Sadie

Bob, Shelli, and Jed came over for dinner a couple weeks ago and when we were entertaining Jed, we found out he loves our dog, Sadie. He can't get enough of her. My photographer skills aren't the best but here's my attempt to to capture that love. He is letting her lick him!
