We Had a "Whale" of a time in Sitka!

Bryan's parents invited Kevin and me to go to Sitka, Alaska to do some salmon fishing. Vaughan has a fishing boat in Sitka. So we flew out to Sitka on June 24. We met Casey and Bryan in Seattle and then flew the rest of the way together. We spent Thurs, Fri, and Sat fishing. We had a great time. Besides the fishing, we saw tons of whales- both orca and humpback!- and we also saw a lot of bald eagles, otters, sea lions and even an occasional puffin! We had a great time and loved spending time with the Briggs family!
Starting our adventure!

Beautiful wildflowers everywhere

Since I am usually taking the pictures, I thought I should document that I was there too!

I should have been more specific when I said I wanted Kevin to catch a halibut!  Next time I will request one that is large enough to keep!
