We escaped the heat in Provo by heading up to the Uintas to go fishing. It was much cooler and we had a great time fishing Teapot and Lost Lake. Amy caught the most fish but we all caught at least one! We need to do this more often!

Our California Adventure!
Friday
Our adventure began on Fri. June 7 when we left the Provo airport for the Oakland airport. We found out that the flight we were on was the first one from Provo to Oakland. It was a great flight, cheaper than any other flights we could find and it flew out of Provo instead of Salt Lake City! We checked in at our hotel and then met up with Casey. The first activity on the agenda was a visit to Alcatraz. After that, we met up with Bryan and checked out Fisherman's wharf and Ghirardelli square.
Saturday Saturday we got to go see where Bryan works in the city. Then we also saw Chinatown and then drove out to Sausalito and ate at a yummy restaurant called "Salsalito". We drove back into San Francisco and saw the "Full House" House and the "Painted Ladies" and Lombard Street. We also got to see the Oakland temple. We drove back to Berkeley and had dinner at Pasta Benne, where we celebrated Bryan's birthday a little early. We were exhausted after a long day of sight seeing!
Sunday
We checked out of our hotel and headed out to Santa Cruz where Amy saw the house she lived in and the church she went to. Then we went to the 17 mile drive, Carmel, and Monterey. Then we headed south to Riverside to see Karen, and, of course, Disneyland!!
Monday, Day One of Disneyland: We spent our first day at California Adventure!
Tuesday, Day Two of Disneyland We started the day early at 7 and spent the morning at Disneyland. Then Kevin drove us into LA for a Dodgers baseball game. It was a blast! Just as we were leaving, a big brawl broke out and after we left, there were two more brawls. A fun day!
Wednesday, our last day at Disneyland... We hit it hard again on our last day. Even though it was pretty crowded, we were able to work things pretty well using fast passes and our brains. We ate a late lunch/early dinner at ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney. While some went back to the hotel for a quick rest, Casey and I watched the parade from the train station and then went to "It'a Small World" to just take it easy. While on the ride, it went down, so we were stuck on the ride for about 20 minutes. Luckily, they turned off the music after about 5 minutes. The good news is that they gave us a pass for all of us to anywhere we wanted to go in Disneyland. So after World of Color, we all went on Space Mountain. It was a fun time and we pushed hard to get everything in! So much fun!!
Thursday, driving back to Oakland We had been hitting it pretty hard so we slept in today and then made the trip back to Northern California. We capped off the drive with a Les Miserables sing-along! We met Bryan in Berkeley for dinner at their favorite Chinese restaurant and then we walked out to the Berkeley Pier. We stayed at a hotel close to the Oakland airport and we were were back in Provo by 10 am!! Love the Provo to Oakland fiight! We had a great time! The only drawback was that Bryan wasn't able to come to Disneyland with us. We had some fun family time. Our family is growing up and who knows how many more family trips we will be able to take. We are so glad that we were able to spend this great week in California. We packed quite a bit in for just a week!
