Courtney and the Las Vegas Cup!

Kevin and Courtney were in Las Vegas last weekend for the Las Vegas Cup Soccer Tournament. They played teams from California, Arizona, and Nevada and they came up #1!!! They won all their games, in fact, they shut out all their teams. None of the teams they played scored a single goal against them!

Ashley is turning 12!

Am I the only one who can't believe that Ashley is turning 12?! Last night we had her birthday party and the festivities will continue since her actual birthday is Tuesday. Young Women, Girl's Camp, Getting your ears pierced! 12 is such an exciting age!

Casey and British Masterworks Festival

Casey got to participate in a special concert last night. It was conducted by Dr. Craig Jessop (of Mormon Tabernacle Choir fame) and it was a fantastic evening. We are so happy to see Casey involved in such a wonderful cultural event. Dr. Jessop was magnificent to watch! He is so passionate about music. When he came down from the stand, his face was covered with sweat! He is able to get so much out of their young voices. It sounded heavenly! It was a lot of work but Casey said it was a great experience.

A little late to the "Forever Strong" party!

We just got back from taking the kids to see Forever Strong at the Dollar movie theater. We don't go to movies that often so it was a miracle that we made it. Man, I wish we had paid full price and seen it when it was in the regular theater! These are the kind of movies I like to pay money for. It is inspirational. The kids all loved it. Casey says it is her new favorite movie. I will definitely be buying the DVD when it comes out! Has anyone else seen it?! Did you like it as much as we did? It is so hard to find good, clean movies for teenagers to go to that they will love. This is one of them.
