Abby's Birthday Road Trip!

After some indecision, Abby and I decided to take a road trip to Las Vegas to see my sister, Shelli, and spend some time with some of my other sisters, too. It was our school fall break and also Abby's birthday. We had originally thought of doing a famiy trip, but Kevin hasn't got much vacation time yet and Courtney was set to take the ACT. Abby and I decided we would go and we had a blast! When we finally decided to go, we threw some stuff in the car and we were off 20 minutes later.

This was the morning of Abby's birthday. I said it was her day and she could do whatever she wanted. She wanted to take some pictures so we did!

This is Shelli's new house. Isn't it darling?

Shelli had put a birthday sign up for Abby!

And she got to open a couple presents!

Birthday dinner at BJ's. This is the restaurant we always go to when we are in Las Vegas.

Abby and her cousin, Anna.
Bob, Shelli, and Jed
Abby got her very own Happy Birthday pizooki!
Jed wants to know when we will be done shopping!
Sisters! Missing Laurie (Matt got home that day from his mission!) and Karen (also serving a mission!) We missed you guys!
One of Abby's "must do's" was go to Yogurtland for yogurt with all the cousins and aunts. Check!
Cute cousins!

The Lazy river at Mandalay Bay.

Here we are relaxing in the cabana that some nice people let us use, because they were just leaving. We didn't have to pay a thing!

Shelli scored us Lion King tickets at a special "locals only" price. It was fantastic and I would love to see it again. Now I see why it won so many awards!

On the way home, Abby and I stopped at Cove Fort and took the tour. She said she had never seen the tour before and really liked it. It feels like we have been through the tour a million times with our kids. It is just another example of thinking all our kids have had a certain experience and realizing that the youngest hasn't!

Courtney- Homecoming dance

Courtney went to Timpview's Homecoming dance tonight with Brett Fisher. She says she had a very nice time. Kevin and I enjoyed watching the BYU football game from his parent's seats. They have chair seats on row 20 on the 45 yard line. You can actually see the game. It was fun, and it didn't hurt that we won!
