Our baby is 9 years old!

Yes, our sweet little Abby who was known only as "Baby" for the first few days of her life while we figured out a name for her, is now 9 years old! Where does the time go, people?! What would we do without this bundle of energy and sweetness and spunk?! Life would certainly be boring. Happy Birthday Abby!

D*I*S*N*E*Y*L*A*N*D!!

We went to Disneyland for Fall Break (except for Casey who had her nose to the grindstone with school and work) and had a marvelous time! Kevin drove down with the girls on Monday after school. I flew in to meet them late Wed. night after school was over. (Casey was a good sport and drove me to the airport despite being disappointed that we went without her!) Earlier in the week it was a bit cool with a mist of rain sometimes, but toward the end of the week, it was HOT! It was a bit crowded at times but not too bad and we got to see everyone else from Utah that was there, including my brother Jeff with his two kids!
We went back later than planned so that Court and Kevin could drive down to the BYU-San Diego football game.

Abby had a rash all over her body the whole time we were there. It was gone when we got home. Our only conclusion is that she is allergic either to Disneyland or the chocolate ice cream Mickey ears! By the way, we were really proud of Abby for being courageous and trying all the rides. She used to be fearful of everything but the absolute mildest rides and this time she really broadened her horizons!

Here is a list of everyone's favorite ride(s):

Abby- Indiana Jones and Tower of Terror
Fav. memory- going on all the rides even though I was scared. They were fun except for California Screamin'.

Kevin- Soarin' over California
Fav. Memory-Going to the football game and watching all the weird people and Abby going on all the rides.

Ashley-California Screamin'
Fav. memory: Looking at the faces of the people who had their pictures taken on the rides.

Courtney- alltime favorite is Splash Mountain. However a close second is Toy Story
Fav. memory- Being there with Abby and the fact that she went on all the rides!

Amy- Toy Story and Soarin' over California
Fav. memory- Dole Pineapple Whip and almost beating Kevin in the Toy Story ride!

Now for a few pictures to document our trip.....

General Conference

We snagged tickets to the Sun. afternoon session and had a superb time. The highlight for me was watching Pres. Monson at the end of conference. He waved to everyone and blew us a kiss. What a sweet man.

On another note- Courtney left our camera over at a friend's house so I didn't have a camera :( We got a few pictures off of Kevin's cell phone camera. Better than nothing, I guess.

Two more things-- how nice to find out after the pictures were taken, that Abby was doing some weird thing with her scarf! And someone from the Ensign took our picture while we were walking by the temple. We have a 1 in 1,000 chance of making ink in the conference issue of the Ensign. (Chances are even worse with me in the picture- since I have an uncanny way of closing one eye. I am sure they don't put pictures like that in the Ensign! Though, I notice that my eyes are open in all 3 of these pictures!)
